  • Natacha Godbout

    LEAD RESEARCHER

    Natacha Godbout, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and professor in the Department of Sexology at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). She leads the Trauma and Couple Research and Intervention Unit (TRACE). Her research and clinical practice focus on the impact of relational trauma on sexual, psychological and relational functioning in adulthood.

  • Alison Paradis

    LEAD RESEARCHER

    Alison Paradis, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and professor in the Department of Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). She leads the Laboratory for the Study of the Well-being of Families and Couples (LÉFAC). Her main area of interest is family violence, particularly childhood abuse and violence in intimate relationships.

  • Gaëlle Bakhos

    DOCTORAL STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Gaëlle holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal and is currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D/Psy.D) at the same university under the supervision of Dr. Claude Bélanger and Dr. Natacha Godbout. Gaëlle is involved with the Couples Parentaux project as a project manager. Her doctoral thesis focuses on support and communication within the conjugal relationships.

  • Mathilde Baumann

    COORDINATOR, DOCTORAL STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Mathilde holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in sexology. She is pursuing a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D/Psy.D) at the Université du Québec à Montréal under the supervision of Dr. Natacha Godbout and Dr. Claude Bélanger. She is interested in the protective factors of sexuality and marital relationships following childhood traumas.

  • Camille-Andrée Rassart

    DOCTORAL STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Camille holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Université de Laval and is currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D/Psy.D) at the Université du Québec à Montréal under the supervision of Dr. Natacha Godbout and Dr. Alison Paradis. Camille is interested in the experience of parenthood among survivors of childhood interpersonal trauma, and more specifically in the concepts of parental identity and self-esteem, all from a dyadic perspective.

  • Francis Morissette-Harvey

    DOCTORAL STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Francis holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D/Psy.D) under the supervision of Dr. Natacha Godbout and Dr. Alison Paradis. His doctoral project focuses on the role of mindfulness on the marital dyad of trauma survivors, as well as the perpetration of violence against their partners.

  • Cloé Canivet

    ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR, DOCTORAL STUDENT IN SEXOLOGY

    Cloé holds a double Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) from the University of Connecticut, as well as a Master's degree in Sexology from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is currently pursuing a doctorat in sexology under the supervision of Dr. Natacha Godbout. Her research interests focus on the effect of sexual assault on sexuality, particularly on victims' sexual fantasies.

  • Luciana Lassance

    COORDINATOR OF THE OBSERVATIONAL STUDY, DOCTORAL STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Luciana holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal, as well as a bachelor's degree in graphic design. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D/Psy.D) at the same university under the supervision of Dr. Alison Paradis and Dr. Natacha Godbout. Her doctoral project focuses on the impact of childhood exposure to parental conflict and relational attributions on couple interactions and partners' mental health in adulthood.

  • Rose Lebeau

    DOCTORAL STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Rose holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D/Psy.D) under the supervision of Dr. Natacha Godbout, at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research interests include psychological issues surrounding gender stereotypes, masculine gender norms and their psychological and relational impacts on men.

  • Élise Villeneuve

    COORDINATOR, DOCTORAL STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Élise holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is also pursuing a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D/Psy.D) under the supervision of Dr. Natacha Godbout and Dr. Alison Paradis. She is interested in childhood interpersonal trauma and its impact on adult life, particularly within couples. Her doctoral thesis will focus on the mentalization and parental functioning of parental couples who are survivors of childhood trauma.

  • Meghan Drapeau-Lamothe

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT, BACHELOR'S STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Meghan has been working as a research assistant for the Couples Parentaux project since May 2021, and is currently completing her third year of a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is working on an honors thesis under the supervision of Dr. Natacha Godbout and Dr. Alison Paradis that focuses on parental stress and new parents' sense of parental efficacy.

  • Noémie D'amours

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT, BACHELOR'S STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Noémie has been working as a research assistant for the Parental Couples project since November 2021. She is completing her third year of a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal, and is working on an honors thesis under the supervision of Dr. Natacha Godbout and Dr. Alison Paradis. Her thesis focuses on the impact of cumulative childhood trauma on new parents' sexual and marital satisfaction.

  • Elisabeth Lafleur

    COORDONNATRICE, ÉTUDIANTE AU BACCALAURÉAT EN PSYCHOLOGIE

    Elisabeth has been working as a research assistant for the Parental Couples project since January 2022, and now took on the role of coordinator. She is completing her third year of a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is mainly interested in the role of attachment and sexual violence on couple's sexual and marital satisfaction, as well as on victims of sexual assault.

  • Justine Provencher

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT, BACHELOR'S STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Justine has been working as a research assistant for the Parental Couples project since September 2022. She is completing her second year of a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is interested in the role of the partner in the healing process of sexual assault survivors and the effect of mindfulness on somatic pain during sexual relations within this same population.

  • Élodie Gariépy-Laliberté

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT, BACHELOR'S STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Élodie first joined the project as an intern for a course in September 2022. She is now a research assistant completing her third year of a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research interests revolve around sexuality and child development.

  • Pénélope Lafleur

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT, BACHELOR'S STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Pénélope now works as a research assistant for the Parental Couples project, following an internship with the team. She is completing her third year of a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is interested in Mindfulness and the impact of childhood trauma on romantic relationships.

  • Maggy Gamache

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT, UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Maggy now works as a research assistant for the Parental Couples project, and is currently completing her first year of a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is interested in the realities of parents from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, as well as the role of art therapy on the parent-child relationship and trauma victims.

  • Florence Grenier

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT, BACHELOR'S STUDENT IN PSYCHOLOGY

    Florence works as a research assistant for the Couples Parentaux project, and is currently completing her first year of a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is interested in new parents' sense of self-efficacy and the different types of parenting and attachment.
